Here are 5 quick tips how to get started
1, Add and confirm your sending email address under Account Settings/Email. This step is very important, otherwise you won’t be able to send your emails!
2, We recommend sending from your own domain — not a free email address. Here’s why: https://help.convertkit.com/en/articles/2502505-why-do-i-need-my-own-domain-to-send-email
3, Email authentication - SPF, DKIM, DMARC - Don’t worry, we take care of SPF and DKIM so you don’t have to. If you have a DMARC record on your domain, you’ll want to set up a Verified Sending Domain within ConvertKit: https://help.convertkit.com/en/articles/2502558-using-a-verified-domain-for-email-sending
4, Want to test emails before sending them? That’s a great idea! We would not recommend sending the test to an address with the same domain as the address you’re using to send, as your test might bounce or go to spam. Instead, send your test to a free email address like a Gmail address.
5, Warm up your list. You can start by sending emails to your most engaged subscribers for a couple of weeks. If you have a list > 50k, send your content to smaller batches first and then start sending your amazing content to everyone!
