How to make your social platforms & landing pages work together to build your audience

Are you using social media to grow your email list?

As we mentioned last week, growing your email list is one of the most important things you can do as a creator because your email list gives you a direct line of communication with your audience.

If you’re only using social media to connect with your audience, there’s a chance they might miss your content because of the ever-changing algorithms on social platforms.

That’s why we recommend you use social media as a tool to get people onto your email list.

Want to know how? By sharing your landing pages on social media as much as you can!

Today we’re sharing our best tips for directing your social media audience to your landing page so you get them to sign up with ease!

How to make your social platforms & landing pages work together

Let’s walk through some tips for sharing your landing pages on Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram.

P.S. If you’ve never shared a landing page before, here’s the easy way to do it.

Twitter

Since Twitter allows you to easily share links, it’s the perfect social media platform to share your landing page and grow your list. You can share your landing page link in your Twitter bio, in your individual tweets, and within Twitter threads.

Here Dylan from Growth Currency links directly to his newsletter sign-up page in his bio:

Clicking on his newsletter link takes you to his ConvertKit link page that includes his newsletter sign-up, as well as other social media links:

Threads are another great way to share your landing page link.

Nay Cook Nelson uses a Twitter thread to share 5 lessons from getting 10 million views on YouTube Shorts:

At the end of the thread, he shares a link to his newsletter landing page:

TikTok

In September 2021, TikTok reported 1 billion monthly active users worldwide. With those kinds of numbers, it’s no wonder people are turning to TikTok to market their brands and businesses.

While Twitter is great for promoting your newsletter, TikTok can be used to promote a freebie or lead magnet landing page in your profile.

For example, Tallene from PCOS Weight Loss shares a video with a list of foods that can help with PCOS. In her caption, she mentions a free challenge you can take by clicking the link in her bio:

The link in her bio takes us to a link page that includes her challenge, a quiz, her membership, and more:

Instagram

With static posts, reels, AND stories, Instagram gives you a variety of options to share content with your audience. The ever-popular term ‘link in bio’ originated on Instagram, which makes your bio the perfect place to share your landing page link.

In a static post, you can share content from your weekly newsletter. For example, Megan Portorreal shares snippets from her newsletter as a quote graphic, and she uses her caption to share the link to a landing page where people can sign up:

If you’re posting a Reel, you can also use your caption to promote your landing page link. Charli Prangley shares a video clip from her podcast, Inside Marketing Design, and lets her followers know that they can watch the full interview by clicking the link in her bio:

Charli’s link page includes everything you need to sign up for her emails, watch her latest content, and listen to her podcast:
