How to sell your coaching packages with ConvertKit

Whether you’re just starting your coaching business or you're a seasoned coach, you likely have a lot to juggle: managing your client list, promoting your coaching packages, taking payments...the list goes on.

You might not feel ready to hire a team just yet, but that doesn’t mean you have to spend all of your time doing the behind-the-scenes work.

That’s where ConvertKit comes in to help you automate your business so you can focus on doing the most important work: coaching your clients.

With ConvertKit, you can sell your coaching packages, promote them with freebies and link pages, and automate your emails so you can pitch potential clients while you sleep.

Let’s go over how you can easily set all of this up!

How to sell your coaching packages with ConvertKit

Setting up your packages

Let’s say you’re a wellness coach who helps clients with healthy eating habits.

You might offer a 12-month coaching package with three payment options:

  • One-time payment (the best deal)
  • Quarterly payments
  • Monthly payments over twelve months

The first thing you’d want to do is to set up these different payment options as products in ConvertKit Commerce. Here’s how to create your product.

For the one-time payment, you can create a Standard product like this:

For any recurring payments, you can create multiple payment options within the same product:

In the fulfillment section, you’ll choose ‘Something Else’ for your coaching services:

The last thing to do is customize your domain and design your product page:

Promoting your packages

Now that the payment setup is all taken care of, it’s time to build your client base using your ConvertKit list.

Here are two examples you can use to build your client list:

1. Create an online hub with a link page

Using a ConvertKit landing page, you can create a space for your social media bio that includes all things potential clients might need to know before they hire you: quick links to your coaching packages, client testimonials, and your newsletter. Learn how to set up your link page here.

2. Offer a freebie

The quickest way to share your value is to show potential clients exactly what you can do...for free. Offering a free automatic download through an opt-in form lets your potential clients get a real feel for how you can help them reach their goals. Set up your freebie here.

Automate your process

The last thing to do is pitch your coaching package to your prospective clients. The best way to do this? Use automations that do the work for you!

You can set up an automated sequence using a visual automation that emails potential clients after they download your freebie or sign up for your email list.

In your sequence, you can welcome new subscribers to your list, introduce yourself and what you do, and ultimately make sure they’re the right fit to work with you.

Give them a ton of free value right from the get-go and they’ll be more likely to invest in you as a coach.

As you send them more emails, begin pitching your coaching offers, share testimonials, and link them to your calendar to set up a discovery call where you can get to know each other better. From there, you can share the link to the product page you created earlier.
