How do date events REALLY work? I'm constructing an automation to announce an upcoming product launch. People who express an interest in the product will get added to the automation. Depending on when they join the automation (for example week 1, week 2 etc), I want them to only get the emails from that point forward. I was hoping to use date events to automatically move them forward to the week they joined, but a quick test automation shows that they get all the emails before that as well. So date events don't "pull subscribers forward" - rather they are "gates" that immediately open if the date is in the past. Can anyone confirm this?
