What are the steps for sending emails from a subdomain? I’ve gone through verification for the apex of my custom domain, example.com, then confirmed me@news.example.com, and set that email as my default. I’ve also added ckespa.news.example.com and cka._domainkey.news.example.com, copying the values provided by ConvertKit for verifying the apex. When I try to sign up for my newsletter using my landing page, the opt-in email passes both SPF and DKIM, but fails DMARC (due to misalignment on both SPF and DKIM). As a result, those emails end up in Spam. What’s missing? My understanding is that verifying my apex causes ConvertKit to use my verified domain in the Return-Path, but that doesn’t seem to apply to subdomains. Your article https://help.convertkit.com/en/articles/2502558-using-a-verified-domain-for-email-sending only says, “While you generally don't need to set up a subdomain for sending emails from, you can if you want to” without any details. Thank you.
