Has anyone had experience with switching hosts? How was the migration process? Did you do it yourself or have someone else do it?

I switched from 1 and 1 to GoDaddy.  The process was simple as I have a technical background.  I zipped all my files and databases and reuploaded to new host.

I did it myself but its not really a fair comparison because there was nothing on the old site, therefore i didn’t have anything to lose if I did it wrong. I went from bluehost to siteground and it was fairly painless, I only got on chat with support once

I'm pretty sure that you're asking about moving a site(s) to another web hosting.

During the last five years, I have switched my web hosting services for multiple times.

Most of the time, the technical support team moved my site from the previous host to its server.

I have also migrated a few sites myself.

Recently, I moved one of the blogs to SiteGround, and it's an excellent experience as a paying customer. You can read it here: http://bit.ly/2QDPlMR88
