Hey @cadouthit3, no, they're not forced to sign up! I'm assuming you're referring to a modal (popup) form? If so, there should be an X to close it. (If it's an inline form it'll just sit within the page's content — no close button — but the user should just be able to ignore it if they don't want to sign up.)
If it's a modal (popup) and the X isn't showing up, it's possible that there's some styling on your website that is interfering with it displaying. Adding this CSS to your modal may help with that (the custom CSS box is located at the bottom of the 'General styles' tab in the form builder):
right: 0 !important;
top: 0 !important;
z-index: 999999 !important;
That code should lower down the position of the X to be within the form, if it's not currently visible. Please note if you embedded the form using the raw HTML embed code, you'll have to copy & paste it over into your website again to see the changes, and if you have any caching plugins on your site you may have to clear them.
If that doesn't help, or if you're having an issue with a different type of form, please reach out to our team at firstname.lastname@example.org (or via the in-app messenger in your account) with a description of this issue (screenshots help, if possible!), the name of the form (as it is displayed on the forms page2 in your account), and the URL on which it is embedded. One of our Product Specialists may be able to help troubleshoot further ☺️
