Hey, I have the SendOwl integration but I can't get double opt in to work. I created a form for the sendowl customers to go to after purchase and it has double opt in set up. The problem is that those subscribers are automatically being confirmed and getting emails - even if they did not click the incentive email. Why is this - and what can I do? I don't have time to check every new person has clicked the email.

  • About You tab:
    • Photo: upload a picture of yourself or your brand
    • About You: let other community members know a little about you as a person, a creator, and anything else you'd like to add

Hey @Sheena Milne37! Just to confirm, in the form's settings, do you have 'Auto-confirm new subscribers' unchecked? Like this:

If so, for the next step I would recommend reaching out to the team at SendOwl. They were the ones who created this integration with us, so they would be better equipped to answer questions about its functionality (and confirm if this is an expected behaviour or not, and if so, whether there is a workaround).

So apparently I never came back to see your response!

Yes, the forms were set to double opt in but it doesn't work. 

People are auto confirmed and receiving emails whether the click the confirmation email or not.

Here's an example.

It's a little worrying because the sandwich GDPR form doesn't work with partner integrations either - so how do we ensure compliance?
