I'm an author and I give away a free book in conjunction with other authors to get subscribers to my list. Over the last 5 days I've seen a lot of traffic (i.e. sign ups) but these subscribers have not made it onto my main list. For this particular traffic, I have an auto-opt in because they go through a number of other layers in order to get the free book. Is there a reason why I'm seeing 65 people sign up but not gaining 65 subscribers?
