Suggestion for CK: I have my list set to double opt-in, as you suggest, and I get why. The annoying thing is I have 142 on my unconfirmed list and I recognize many of them. So I know that they are not bots. It’s so dang hard to get subscribers so I don’t want to lose these over a technicality. You should be able to either do a bulk email something like: Hi, I see that you tried to sign up for our newsletter but forget to click confirm. If you would like to confirm your subscription you can do so with the link below, otherwise you will no longer receive emails from us. Or you should be able to force confirm people. Some I know personally and rather than start the whole process over by emailing them on the side and asking them to resubmit and confirm it would be so much easier to do it for them. Some people just don't understand the double opt-in, even when you think you are clear in on your sign-up form. There has to be some meeting in the middle over the double opt-in thing.
